Adaptive Bush Exploring – Multiple Dates 2022

Come join us as we embark on 3-days of adaptive bush exploring and a cultural experience including a visit to the Australian Reptile Park.

Immerse yourself in nature while accompanying us to two of Sydney’s most beautiful national parks. You will also get to experience a cultural tour led by Laurie from Guringai Aboriginal tours which includes a welcome to country ceremony, cultural engravings, history tour, and finishes the day with a smoking ceremony and campfire back at Sargood.

We aren’t done yet as day 3 consists of a trip up to the Australian Reptile Park to enjoy a private guided tour of the park including an animal encounter. Meet koalas and kangaroos, reptiles and even visit the restricted tassie devil breeding exhibit.

Don’t miss this one it’s sure to be an experience of a lifetime!

Important Notes
What you’ll need to provide:

  • X8 Wheelchair if you own one
  • Appropriate outdoor adventure clothing like long sleeve light shirts, wide-brimmed hats, drink bottles, and snacks if needed.
  • A sense of adventure and good banter

Who is this suitable for?

  • All levels but limited to
  • 4x Guests who have own x8’s
  • 4x Guests using SG X8’s (1xchin control quad set up)

As this course requires extra assistance for negotiated activities, we require all participants to stay on the Wellness & High Support Package ($1300/night) as a minimum package.

Course Inclusions

  • Transport via team bus to a from venues

  • Entry into Australian Reptile Park and guided tour

Course Program

DAY PROGRAM
Sunday Check in
Monday 9am: Leave for Royal National Park
4:30pm: Return to Sargood
Tuesday 9:30am: Leave for West Head cultural tour
1:30pm: Return to Sargood
3:30pm: Cultural smoking ceremony and artefacts display
5pm: Camp fire dinner served in the SG courtyard
7pm: Campfire social
Wednesday 9am: Depart for Australian Reptile Park guided tour and animal encounter
Thursday Rest and relax day

You must be living in the community to apply to attend any of the courses run at Sargood on Collaroy. If you are currently an inpatient at a health facility then unfortunately you are not eligible to apply.
