NDIS Funding for Accommodation

Stays at Sargood on Collaroy may be funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Sargood on Collaroy is operated by Royal Rehab, a registered provider of the NDIS. Our provider number is 4050002604.

NDIS participants may be able to seek financial assistance to stay at Sargood on Collaroy, a provider of short term accommodation and assistance, for up to 28 days per year.

As everyone’s circumstances are different we encourage you to speak with your Local Area Coordinator or Support Coordinator to discuss what may be covered for you by the NDIS.

What may be covered by the NDIS?

Sargood on Collaroy provides Short Term Accommodation and Assistance. We have two inclusive specialist accommodation packages, our Wellness Package and the Wellness and Support Package outlined below. Our packages provide short-term accommodation and high intensity assistance, as well as negotiated activities.

Funding assistance from the NDIS may also be available to cover extra costs beyond our package inclusions, such as extra therapy or training with our staff and extra hours of assistance with self-care activities.

NDIS participants may stay at Sargood on Collaroy on one of our Packages outlined below.

Out of pocket expenses

There may be some out of pocket costs during your stay. You will need to cover the cost of all meals and incidentals. Any activities, courses and events where the cost is not covered by the Wellness Package or the Wellness and Support package will need to be paid for by you.

Wellness Package

  • Access to our therapist led and supported weekly activity program and access to either Clinical Nurse Education/ Occupational Therapy/ Vocational Services for 1 hour per day or access to a course being run at Sargood.
  • Access to adaptive equipment and onsite Gymnasium. (NO food, continence supplies or transport provided.)

Wellness & Support Package

  • Accommodation in a deluxe suite
  • Up to 6 hours per day assistance with self-care activities at a 1:1 ratio
  • Access to our therapist led and supported weekly activity program, and access to either Clinical Nurse Education/ Occupational Therapy/Vocational Services for 1 hour per day or access to a course being run at Sargood.
  • Access to adaptive equipment and onsite Gymnasium. (NO food, continence supplies or transport provided.)

Wellness & High Support Package

  • Accommodation in a deluxe suite
  • Up to 12 hours per day assistance with self-care activities at a 1:1 ratio
  • Access to our therapist led and supported weekly activity program, and access to either Clinical Nurse Education/ Occupational Therapy/Vocational Services for 1 hour per day or access to a course being run at Sargood.
  • Access to adaptive equipment and onsite Gymnasium. (NO food, continence supplies or transport provided.)

What do I need to do?

  1. Decide which package you prefer – the Wellness Package or the Wellness and Support Package.
  2. Complete a Booking Form , phone us on +61 2 8597 0600 or email: info@sargoodoncollaroy.com.au
  3. On receiving your booking form, we will contact you via your preferred contact method. A service agreement via docusign will be sent via email.
  4. Please sign the agreement to confirm you have sufficient funds in your NDIS plan.
  5. A copy of your signed service agreement will be sent to your plan manager for their records.
  6. We will then confirm your booking.

*If you do not have enough funds available for your stay at Sargood, but have signed the agreement, you will be liable for the cost of any services used.

  3. On receiving your booking form, we will contact you via your preferred contact method. A service agreement via docusign will be sent via email.
  4. Please sign the agreement to confirm you have sufficient funds in your NDIS plan.
  5. Once service agreement is received we will secure funding in your NDIS portal.
  6. We will then confirm your booking (if sufficient funds are available).

  4. You will be sent an invoice for your stay and be asked to pay a one-night deposit. We will require full payment for service upon check out.
  5. If you need to secure funding from the NDIA before paying the deposit, we require you to pay the full amount of your stay once you have received funds.

The NDIS states that providers should claim payments against a support line item that most closely aligns to the service they have delivered. Sargood on Collaroy provides Short Term Accommodation and High Intensity Assistance and is a registered provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Depending on your NDIS support allocation, you may also be able to access funding through the NDIS for a Club Sargood membership or for extra therapy and training at Club Sargood.
