The course has been designed for people in a relationship to attend as a couple and aims to help couples become more self-aware, more open hearted and creative in exploring issues of communication, desire, intimacy, and pleasure.
The 4-night couples retreat offers introductory level knowledge for improving your erotic communication and sexual skills. It will introduce modern sexuality concepts and skills regarding:

- Communication
- Spinal Cord Injury adaptive options

As this course requires extra assistance for negotiated activities, we require all participants to stay on the Wellness & High Support Package ($1300/night) as a minimum package.

Important notes
All levels of injury are catered for however this course is only available to couples.
All activities in group sessions will be fully clothed
There will be no medical interventions (medications)
Spinal Cord Injury specific content about positioning and adaptive aids are included
Psychosexual therapy is a holistic approach to sexual wellbeing including personalised support to help develop confidence in exploring sexual needs and abilities. Psychosexual therapy is non-judgemental, pleasure focused and inclusive. Psychosexual therapy is a talk-based intervention where all clothes remain on and no physical assessments take place.
About the trainers
Candice Care-Unger (she/her) has a dual professional background. Candice is an experienced specialist social worker with a demonstrated history of working in hospital & community spinal cord injury rehabilitation settings for the past 18 years across Sydney, Rural New South Wales, Brisbane, Scotland and New York. Candice is also a qualified psychosexual therapist and a member of the Society of Australian Sexologists as well as the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Candice owns and operates Care Rehab, a specialist social work and psychosexual therapy rehabilitation provider. Care Rehab is based in Sydney but provides virtual services across Australia.
Arlyn is a Psychosexual Therapist & Educator, Gestalt Therapist & Registered Nurse based in Eora (Sydney). Prior to sexology, Arlyn worked as a Nurse in critical care, primary health, sexual health, and disability settings. His educating experience developed through consulting with health workers in disability rehab, to better support their client’s sexualities. He believes that all sex is good sex, as long it is as consensual & pleasurable for all involved, and relationships can be this way too. Through his practice, Intensive Love, he welcomes folks from all walks of life and works from a relational, intersectional, and body-focused orientation. Arlyn’s sexological special interests include sexual identity, consent, sexual attitudes, kink/BDSM, LGBTQIA+ & nonmonogamous communities.
Erin Mitchell (she/her) is a specialist social worker with over 20 years of experience, working in mental health and rehabilitation services in Sydney, Brisbane and London. Erin has been working in adult neurological rehabilitation since 2016 and is a Gottman 7 Principals trained Leader. Erin will be attending the retreat on the Friday
