Exercise Physiology and Club Sargood

Sargood on Collaroy are now offering Club Sargood Members specialised, evidence-based Exercise Therapy to support, maintain or increase function or well-being. To access our Exercise therapy services in the community you must first be a Club Sargood Member.

Exercise Therapies can assist the development or increase an individual’s skills and capacity for independence and community participation.

Exercise Physiology

Our modern, accessible gym facility is on Level 1 of Sargood on Collaroy and provides a supportive environment that encourages social inclusion and community participation. Our exercise therapists can also be booked to provide recreation sessions outdoors using our adaptive rec equipment.
Sargood on Collaroy is offering services that will assist each client reach their individual goals.

Club Sargood’s Exercise Physiologists are ESSA accredited and provide individually designed exercise programs aimed to improve function, independence and mobility through skill acquisition. Sessions regularly include repetitive, task-specific, dynamic and weight bearing activities.

Our Exercise Physiologists use several modalities during their session with the client including:

  • Functional Electrical Stimulation
  • Resistance training (Pneumatic weight systems, free weights, gravity eliminated weight systems)
  • Cardio fitness (Adapted Rowers, Ski Ergs, Cycles)
  • Body weight supported treadmill
  • Balance Exercises
  • Stretching and Range of Motion Exercise
  • Vibration plate
  • Outdoor recreational activities

Who can see our Exercise Physiologist?

Our Exercise Physiologists can work with individuals who have spinal cord injury, stroke, acquired brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, motor neuron disease, muscular dystrophy, and many other neurological and physical disabilities.


$166 per session.

Can I seek funding through the NDIS for extra Exercise Physiology Sessions?

Depending on the goals and funding allocation of your plan, you may be able to seek assistance for your membership through the NDIS if you have funds available under:

  • Capacity Building: Improved health and wellbeing, or
  • Capacity Building: Improved daily living skills
