Meet Kierre, our new EP and Physio, joining us from SCIA’s NeuroMoves!

As we farewell the lovely Wade who is returning home to Queensland, we welcome Kierre to the Sargood team.

Kierre is an AHPRA registered physiotherapist and ESSA accredited exercise physiologist.

Kierre has spent the last 10 years providing therapy to people living with spinal cord injury as well as other neurological conditions. Her experience as Head of Exercise Services at Spinal Cord Injuries Australia for the national NeuroMoves program will make her a fabulous addition to the Sargood family.

Kierre will be offering her services to in-house guests and to the local community.

With the new addition of physiotherapy services*, we can expand our offering to include:

  • Specialised gym equipment scripting & funding requests
  • Functional and postural assessments
  • Manual therapy
  • Recreation equipment scripting & funding requests
  • Acute injury assessment and treatment, including referrals for scans (MRI, CT, XRay etc) if required
  • Scripting assistive technology such as AFO’s and hand grips.

* Fee Structure : $193 / Hour

Read on to get to know Kierre with our Crew Q&A!

If you could swap roles with anyone else at Sargood on Collaroy, who would it be?
I don’t want to swap roles with anyone sorry! I am stoked to be in the gym here at Sargood!

What advice do you have for first time guests to Sargood on Collaroy?
Try it all! The view is good, but the experiences are greater. Bring lots of energy with you to try everything on offer. We will adapt to meet your needs. Oh, and make sure you come and see me in the gym!

What three words would you use to describe Sargood on Collaroy?
Passionate. Adaptive. Smiley.

What is your proudest moment at Sargood on Collaroy?
Starting on day one!

Where is your favourite travel destination?
New York back when America was cool.

What fact about you would people be surprised to learn?
I can do the splits (well, maybe I am getting too old to keep saying this??)

What book did you read last?
Penguin Bloom (again).

What is your favourite food?
My six year old son asks me this all the time and my answer always changes. I can’t decide between Mexican, snow peas, chocolate, carrots, sashimi or peppermint tea.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learnt at Sargood so far?
You won’t hear us say “No, that’s not possible”.

What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?
There is nothing else I would rather be doing!

You’re happiest when?
I’m camping with my husband and kids at Crescent Head on NSW’s mid north coast.
