Crew Questions – Clinical Nurse Educator

Meet Liz, our new Clinical Nurse Educator who has joined the team from Royal Rehab’s Spinal Injury Unit.

We now have a clinical nurse educator on site seven days a week, with Liz joining Rita as part of our Sargood on Collaroy team.

If you could swap roles with anyone else at Sargood on Collaroy, who would it be?

I think it would be great to swap with Seb who manages the Rec Team. The Rec  team have the opportunity to take guests out to enjoy such a range of great activities and experiences, and who wouldn’t love to do that!

What advice do you have for first time guests to Sargood on Collaroy?

Just come and relax at this beautiful beachside location and enjoy your stay! We have professional, experienced staff here to help you as needed and plenty of equipment.

What three words would you use to describe Sargood on Collaroy?

Adventurous, welcoming and relaxing.

What is your proudest moment at Sargood on Collaroy?

I only began my Sargood journey three months ago, but I am proud to work somewhere so unique and am excited to help people with SCI to experience all that Sargood has to offer.

Where is your favourite travel destination?

I love Whistler and have been a few times, it’s a great ski resort with amazing scenery.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learnt at Sargood on Collaroy so far?

Every day is different, and people are inspirational and resilient.

What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?

My passion is helping people, so I think I would have liked to be a social worker.

You’re happiest when?

I’m spending time with my husband, children and our two dogs, and I love sleeping in on days off!
