For those of us who travel with an adventurous spirit, it’s always fun to try something new and exciting. Who doesn’t love the thrill that comes with an activity that’s a little left of field?
So we were especially excited to welcome Ricky and Jayme to Sargood on Collaroy after discovering their shared interest in adaptive shooting.
“They’re both country boys from Cowra and shooting was something that we identified they’d also be able to do at home.” – Seb
As part of our services, we explored recreation options beyond our Collaroy-based wheelchair accessible resort and teed up an adaptive shooting session at Sydney International Shooting Centre (SISC) for Ricky and Jayme to enjoy during their stay.
Our Adaptive Sport & Recreation Specialist, Seb, joined Ricky and Jayme for their half-day shooting session.
“My role is to introduce people to activities like this to give them the confidence that they can still participate in sports like shooting.” – Seb
Previously host to the 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the SISC is a state-of-the-art facility with qualified staff on hand to provide expert assistance in the adaptive rifle setup.
“Great fun, definitely got to do that again!” – Jayme
